Shannon Aylesworth, CEO and Founder of MyHealthHatch, discusses the challenges of being an entrepreneur.
For certain, being an entrepreneur is tough! There’s no guarantee of success and you have to take risks to achieve big goals. But it can be very gratifying too. The work we’re doing at MyHealthHatch will help a lot of people.
As an entrepreneur, I am always hustling and grinding. I have learned to be comfortable with long hours and little sleep. There will be days (sometimes weeks or months) when I feel like I’m running on fumes, but that is just part of the job.
What most people don’t know is that there is no safety net. When you’re an entrepreneur, everything falls on your shoulders. If something goes wrong, it’s up to me to fix it.
Entrepreneurship is about taking calculated risks. So many decisions carry the potential for failure. But that’s also what makes entrepreneurship so thrilling.
We have a big vision here at MyHealthHatch. We want people to have control of their health care. You need access to the data and education to make the best decisions for you and the people you care for.
